Saudi Arabia & Turkey explore cooperation in various sectors

Saudi Arabia’s minister of municipal and rural affairs and housing, Mr. Majid Al-Hogail has discussed means of cooperation in the fields of economy, urban development, city planning, and general development with ministers and officials of the Turkish government.

The Saudi officials’ visit to Turkey intends to strengthen partnerships between the two sides in the areas of construction, contracting, smart cities, and urban development.

According to the statement, Mr. Al-Hogail discussed ways to enhance cooperation and investment opportunities in the municipal and housing sectors with the Turkish side.

The Saudi minister said that the Kingdom provides many promising investment opportunities in a qualitative environment that attracts investment in a variety of economic and development sectors across the Kingdom, including the municipal and housing sectors.

Mr. Al-Hogail further added that he looks forward to strengthening cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Turkey, particularly in the fields of real estate development, infrastructure projects, and smart cities.

Furthermore, the minister attended the launch of the Saudi-Turkish Business Forum, in Istanbul, in the presence of the Turkish Minister of Trade Omer Polat, which was held in cooperation between the Federation of Saudi Chambers and the Council of Foreign Economic Relations.

The forum reviewed Saudi-Turkish investment opportunities and strengthened partnerships between the two sides in urban development and construction, contracting, smart cities, and urban development.

On the forum’s sidelines, the minister witnessed the signing of several cooperation agreements in investment sectors worth more than $613 million (SR2.3 billion).
