After a hiatus since September 2018, Saudia is set to re-establish its presence in Canada starting from December 2023.

The airline will revive its Jeddah – Toronto and Riyadh – Toronto routes, marking an important milestone in its service offerings.

Initial frequency and aircraft

Saudia, a member of the SkyTeam alliance, is gearing up to operate the Jeddah – Toronto route initially with three weekly flights.

Subsequently, from January 12, 2024 (earlier listed as February 3, 2024, in error), the frequency will be adjusted to two flights per week.

The airline’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will ply this route, ensuring passengers a comfortable and efficient travel experience.

The aircraft features a business class cabin with 24 seats and an economy class cabin with 274 seats, ensuring a wide range of choices to suit every traveller’s preferences.

A collaborative effort with the Air Connectivity Program

These forthcoming flights are a result of a collaborative effort with the Air Connectivity Program (ACP), reflecting Saudia’s commitment to enhancing connectivity and accessibility for travelers.

Scheduled commencement

The flights to Toronto Pearson International Airport will commence operations on Saturday, December 2, originating from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.

Saudia expands network

This strategic move marks Toronto as the airline’s ninth destination facilitated through the ACP. It reaffirms Saudia‘s dedication to bolstering its competitive position in the global aviation industry and catering to a diverse range of passengers, including Saudi nationals pursuing education abroad.

Saudi Arabia’s gateway

The expansion aligns seamlessly with Saudia‘s overarching goal: connecting the world with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This connection encompasses various sectors, including tourism, business, and the seasonal Hajj and Umrah industries, facilitating access and fostering relationships across borders.

Flight schedule and duration

The Jeddah and Toronto flights are scheduled for six weekly round trip journeys, with each flight having an approximate duration of 13.5 hours.
